FME™ is a human-led workflow I developed over nearly three decades of clarifying complex content. I uncover what the material is actually trying to communicate by identifying the essential idea, the relationships between its parts, and the hierarchy that gives those parts meaning—then stripping away what obscures them.
The result may become a diagram, an infographic, a reorganized page, or a simpler visual structure. The form changes with the content; the objective does not.
Distillation isn’t about saying less. It’s about actually saying SOMETHING.
